Influential People and Artists |

 |
Crispin Glover |
| Artist, Actor |
| Mr. Glover inspired the name of this website with his character, Layne, in the film Rivers Edge. I have been a long time admirer of his work and art. He funds many of his own projects and travels the world with his independently made films, performance art, and self-published books. |

Alphonse Mucha |
| Graphic Artist, Painter, Printmaker |
| Alphonse Mucha is one of the most inspiring artists I've ever encountered. I don't have a large collection of art books, but I own multiple volumes of his work. Clearly I am enchanted by the entire Art Nouveau movement, but I especially love his work with color, composition, intricate detail, and female imagry. |

Aubrey Beardsly |
| Graphic Artist, Illustrator |
| I relate to Aubrey Beardsly's drawing style, since my first love was comic books and my first real passion was writing and creating them. I love how Beardsly defines space with simple black and white and doesn't bother too much with modeling. His flowing monochromatic illistrations were the cat's meow when they were new, and I feel that are undervalued today. |

William Bradley |
| Graphic Artist, Illustrator, Printmaker |
| William Bradley was a wildly popular graphic artist in his time. He was an American, and set the bar in this country for advertising and graphic media to cross the line into the realm of a true artform. I long for the days when advertising is art again, but am secure in the supposition that it will never happen. |

Chelsea Handler |
| Comic, Host, Author |
| Ms. Handler is one of the most fearless women with the sharpest wit ever. Her career has taken her through a few different TV shows, several books, and countless stand up comedy routines. Chelsea Handler is a strong person and a shining example of modern feminism. |

Elaine Benes played by Julia Louis Dryfus |
| Fictional Character |
| Speaking of modern feminism, Elaine Benes has a primary female role model. This character was an educated woman persuing her career and happiness. She was a professional, independent, and unwilling to settle for David Putty. Overall, Seinfeld was a ground-breaking, progressive series and the character of Elaine was more than just a beautiful mess; she was a portrait of modern womanhood. |

Bruce Campbell |
| Actor, Author |
| Bruce Campbell is my idea of a real man. I can explain no further. You'll have to come to your own conclusions. |

Mark Sultan |
| Musician |
| Mark Sultan is an independent artist who creates some of the best early rock inspired punk I've ever heard. He is, by far, my favorite musician and has been for a couple fo years. Check out his solo work as well as the King Khan and BBQ Show, his duo with the notorious King Khan. |
